From finding dinosaur fossils to making incredible new inventions, science has revolutionized humanity and given us a glimpse into the secrets of the world. Just on the medicinal aspect alone, humanity has been able to prolong the lifespan of the average person by decades in just the last hundred years. Similarly, it's impact on technology allows us to communicate seamlessly with people across the world and meet them in a matter of hours, not to mention the incredible structures that have been erected with the help of scientific reasoning. Yet, for all of the improvements, there is still much the human race does not know. Scientists around the world work tirelessly to progress humanity while also maintaining the structure and beauty of our world, but they cannot do it without the proper funding. Because of this caveat, many scientists work with organizations to get the funding necessary to supplement their research in the hopes of becoming responsible for the next big discovery.
Likewise, the National Science Foundation (NSF) funds extramural research through Broad Agency Announcements (BAA) for research and development to fulfill requirements for scientific study and experimentation directed toward advancing state-of-the-art increases in scientific and technical understanding. They will be hosting a webinar that will provide the scientific and innovation community as well as other NSF staff to learn more about the Foundation's research areas and understand how BAAs are used to work with the NSF. Due to the high demand for grant and research money, attending this webinar can provide important insight into ways to gather the funds needed to facilitate research and projects, so it is highly recommended for those interested to attend.
The webinar starts on August 15, 2024 at 1:00 PM ET. The registration link as well as more information can be found here.
